So that we’ll have more options rather than just selling them for a super low price
but make it so that the item parts you get is half or lower than what is required to craft that certain item

I agree.
Or else there can be an option to upgrade weaker armor/weapon. Like in Final Fantasy IX, for example.

That would be cool too,
but should only be in certain LEGENDARY Items (Evolving Weapons/Armor) since almost every items looks different.
