[Major Bug] Items enchantment values decreasing after every game restart

#1

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start the game
  2. Continue the last save - gameplay on World Map
  3. See that [Keen Weapon] on Vented Cannon gives 10 points crit; [Guardian Weapon] on Knock-Out Gloves gives 6 points shield; [Keen Weapon] on Coast Iron Broadsword gives 17 points crit.
  4. Press pause
  5. Press Save and Quit to Menu or Save and Exit Game
  6. Start the game and continue the last save
  7. See that enchantments values decreased by 1
  8. Repeat from step 4

Result:
Items enchantment values decreasing after every game restart.
Before I started making screenshots values were higher. I remember a couple of days ago [Keen Weapon] on Coast Iron Broadsword was giving about 50 or 60 points crit.

The bug takes effect on every enchantment currently I have in the game. Eventually I managed to decrease values ridiculously low

no wonder my auguments felt so small…

#3

I can confirm this bug. It seems though that at least some kind of minimum value persists but not really of relevance… Would also explain the continuous decline of HP (in combination with the Beast Perk bug).

#4

Yikes, thanks so much for the report guys! We’ll address this ASAP; in the meantime, @HarryDemch, could you PM @ortizgames your current save file?

#5

I was trying to locate the save files to back them up just in case, but I can’t seem to find them? Where exactly are they located? Did check in my Battle Chasers folder in Steam but didn’t find anything there. Also checked in my documents without any luck. Cheers

#6

wellllllll unless the fix will bring the values back up to spec, seems like a new game will be in order on release. good catch OP.

#7

I did send the files
They are located here C:\Users\username\AppData\LocalLow\Airship Syndicate\BattleChasersNightwar\76561198054521703\saves

For the moment I have been enchanting my equipment anew whenever I found an Enchanter’s Table.

Character stats have a similar bug sometimes when you login they have a certain stat number but if you go to their perks and turn on an off any perk even the perks that don’t affect stats, their stats refresh to what they’re actually supposed to be… It’s really weird and frustrating specially if you’re number crunching and trying to max out your characters’ builds.
